About this experience

The Mori Art Museum is one of Tokyo's most prestigious and internationally acclaimed contemporary art institutions, occupying the 53rd floor of the iconic Mori Tower in the heart of the Roppongi Hills complex. It offers a unique combination of cutting-edge contemporary art exhibitions and breathtaking panoramic views across the Tokyo metropolitan area. Established in 2003 as the centrepiece of the Roppongi Hills urban redevelopment project, the museum has become one of Asia's leading contemporary art spaces, presenting thought-provoking exhibitions by renowned Japanese and international artists.

The museum focuses on contemporary art, architecture, design, fashion, and photography, with a strong emphasis on Asian contemporary art and works that explore important global and cultural themes. Admission typically includes access to the Tokyo City View observation deck on the same floor, where visitors can enjoy 360-degree views of Tokyo from 250 metres above ground. Guests may also upgrade to the open-air Sky Deck on the 55th floor for an even more spectacular perspective, making this one of Tokyo's most rewarding cultural and sightseeing experiences.

What to expect

Guests arrive at Roppongi Hills via Roppongi Station and take the high-speed elevator to the Mori Tower, where the Mori Art Museum and Tokyo City View are accessed through a shared entrance. Visitors begin by exploring the museum's contemporary art exhibitions on the 53rd floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of Tokyo as a backdrop to the galleries.

After the exhibition, guests can enjoy panoramic views from the Tokyo City View observation deck on the 52nd and 53rd floors. On clear days, landmarks such as Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Bay, and even Mount Fuji can be seen. For an even higher vantage point, visitors may purchase an additional ticket to the open-air Sky Deck on the 55th floor for an unforgettable view of the city skyline.
