Enjoy a relaxing stop at the stunning Lake Biwa, where seasonal activities change throughout the year—from cherry blossom viewing near Hikone Castle in spring to cruising aboard the historic Michigan Paddle Steamer during summer.
Continue to the unique architectural complex of La Collina Omihachiman before ending the day at the famous Nara Park, home to friendly deer and the magnificent Todai-ji Temple. This full-day tour offers a memorable journey through nature, history, and Japanese culture.
What to expect
Your day begins with a morning departure from Nipponbashi in Osaka, where you will meet the guide holding a yellow GOGODAY flag. After departure, travel comfortably toward the Lake Biwa region to enjoy the beautiful lakeside scenery and seasonal experiences.
Depending on the time of year, you may enjoy different activities such as cherry blossom viewing at Hikone Castle in spring, a relaxing paddle steamer cruise on Lake Biwa during summer, autumn foliage at Enryakuji Temple on Mount Hiei, or snow activities at Biwako Valley in winter.
After a traditional Japanese lunch, the tour continues to La Collina Omihachiman, a whimsical complex designed by architect Terunobu Fujimori, known for its grass-covered rooftops and fairytale-like structures. The final stop is Nara Park, where you’ll have time to explore the park, visit Todai-ji Temple to see the Great Buddha, and interact with the famous deer before returning to Osaka in the evening.
