[Installing eSIM]
■ Method 1: Direct installation via Trip.com app
• Open the Trip.com app > Go to Account > All Orders > Select the order you want to install > Tap Install
• If installation fails, follow Method 2 below

Step 1: Obtain QR Code
• Find the QR Code in your Trip.com order attachment or confirmation email
• Save or print it, or store it on another device ( iOS 17.4+ allows saving QR images directly on your phone )
Step 2: Open network settings
• iOS: Settings > Cellular
• Android: SIM card management
Step 3: Connect to Wi-Fi and install
• Use a non-primary Wi-Fi network for registration
• iOS: Add Cellular Plan > Scan QR Code
• Android: Add SIM in SIM Management > Scan QR Code
Step 4: Manual installation (if QR code scan fails)
• Enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code from your order confirmation
▲ If Steps 3 or 4 fail, your phone may be carrier-locked. Contact your carrier to unlock (non-Japan KDDI networks).

After installation and arrival in Japan:
• Turn off your primary SIM
• Enable eSIM in network settings
• Turn on cellular data (iOS/Android)
• Enable data roaming
If internet doesn't work:
• Reset APN and restart your phone, ensuring data roaming is on

• Install eSIM on the day of departure, then switch to eSIM upon arrival in Japan

Can I cancel this booking?
Every option shows its own cancellation terms before you pay — where free cancellation applies, the window closes at 00:00 (midnight), local time at the destination, on the cut-off day. Cancel from My bookings within the window for a full refund (once your ticket has been issued, message support inside the window and we cancel it for you); after it, the option's terms apply. Can I change the date of my booking?
Date changes aren't automatic — they depend on the operator. Email support@readytrip.com from the address you booked with, quoting your booking reference and the new date you'd like, and we'll ask the operator for you. Changes are subject to their approval and availability; if the date can't be moved, your booking's cancellation terms apply.
