What to expect

Dubai Creek is the river that gave birth to Dubai. Taking a trip on the river in an old wooden boat during the day, you can appreciate Dubai's many tall buildings and domed mosques, while after dark you can enjoy the colorful lights of nighttime Dubai. The river divides the city in two: to the west lies the up-and-coming Bur Dubai district, with its modern skyscrapers lining the riverbank; to the east lies the Deira district of old Dubai, symbolizing the city's historic roots.
